The adventure continues with an off-the-beaten-path trek in Bunkuany, in the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, discovering Indigenous cultures and untouched nature. Then, head toward the treasures of the Caribbean coast with Cartagena de Indias, a colonial jewel listed by UNESCO, where cobblestone streets, colorful walls, and seaside sunsets create a dreamlike setting. DAY 1 BOGOTA 2640m
Arrival in Bogotá, capital of Colombia, and welcome at the airport, then transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2 BOGOTA
Visit of the largest market in Bogotá, “Paloquemao,” rich in the country’s fruits and vegetables. Then we continue toward Mont Serrate, which overlooks the city at 3260m, and we end the day with a visit to the city center and its emblematic streets such as Bolivar Square, Septima Street, and the Palace of Justice.

DAY 3 BOGOTA 🡲 VILLA DE LEYVA 2149m (180 km, 4h)
In the morning, we leave the capital for Villa de Leyva. We will stop to discover the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral, located 180 meters underground—an exceptional work proving this people’s boundless faith in religion. In the late afternoon, you will reach the hotel.

DAY 4 VILLA DE LEYVA 🡲 BOGOTÁ (180 km, 4h)
Departure around 9 a.m. to visit the village with its main colonial-style buildings. After lunch, we return to Bogotá.

DAY 5 BOGOTA 🡲 SALENTO 1895m (1h10 flight + 100 km, 1h30)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Pereira. Upon arrival, a vehicle and guide will be waiting to take you to the countryside and the famous coffee region. Here, in the heart of a coffee plantation, you will discover the step-by-step process of producing the famous Colombian coffee. Installation at your hotel, then visit of the village of Salento.

DAY 6 SALENTO
In the morning, we leave with the guide for the Cocora Valley at 2400m, a strong symbol of the coffee region. Salento has forests of the emblematic Quindío wax palm, which can reach up to 60 meters in height in the heart of an exceptional valley. Return to Salento.

DAY 7 SALENTO 🡲 MANIZALES 2200m (100 km, 2h30)
We head toward Filandia, from where we depart with your guide to visit the Barbas Bremen reserve, a privileged site for birdwatching and for seeing the famous red howler monkey. A protected area offering all the richness of the Andean jungle—an immersion in nature to discover and observe the great biodiversity of this reserve. Lunch in Salento, then departure toward the village of Manizales for the night.

DAY 8 MANIZALES 🡲 JARDIN 1750m (150 km, 4h30)
This morning we take the road to the village of Jardín, then after settling into the hotel we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we discover the village starting with its main square, Libertadores, and its Immaculate Conception basilica. Walk through secret doors revealing the beauty of colonial houses.

DAY 9 JARDIN 🡲 MEDELLIN (160 km, 5h)
After breakfast, we take a jeep to the Cueva Esplendor, an impressive waterfall that plunges into a cave. After 50 minutes of driving, we begin a 20-minute walk to reach the Quitasol finca. After 500 meters in the native forest, we arrive at the Esplendor cave. Return to the village around 1 p.m. After lunch, we continue toward the city of Medellín.

DAY 10 MEDELLIN 1495m
The city of Medellín has a difficult history but is transforming at an impressive pace. Voted “City of Innovation” in 2013, it is full of surprises. We begin our day with a visit to Comuna 13, the neighborhood that has undergone the greatest social transformation in the city. Through its graffiti we will discover the history of this district. We then take the city’s cable car to enjoy an incredible view over Medellín. Afterward, we continue toward the historic center to visit Botero Square and Berrio Square, without forgetting the shopping streets of the center. We end the visit at “Salon Malaga,” a 1950s bar frozen in time, offering a unique atmosphere and considered a true musical heritage of Medellín.

DAY 11 MEDELLIN
East of the city of Medellín lies the region’s most important water reserve, more than 6200 hectares flooded. We will stop to climb the El Peñol rock and its 690 steps, to discover this spectacular expanse of water and its panoramic view over the region. The day continues with a visit to the village of Guatape, featuring dazzling colorful streets thanks to the frescoes on its houses called “zócalos.” The visit continues with a meeting with Nacho, a famous artisan who creates the zócalos. He will tell us his story and the tradition of the village’s colorful frescoes. Nacho will accompany us to explain the history of the zócalos, their meanings, and the techniques used. A meeting that will make you discover the village from another perspective.

DAY 12 MEDELLIN 🡲 SANTA MARTA 15m
Transfer to the Medellín airport. Flight from Medellín to Santa Marta in the Caribbean. Transfer to your accommodation and free time.

DAY 13 TREKKING BUNKUANY (1/3)
We leave in the morning with our guide toward the ruins of Bunkuany. The hike begins in lush nature, then after a few hours of walking we will stop at the Donoma stone and its impressive petroglyphs. Lunch and swimming in the river before finishing our day in a lodge where we will spend the night.

DAY 14 TREKKING BUNKUANY (2/3)
Early morning wake-up with a cup of coffee to enjoy the sunrise. Then we head toward the archaeological ruin of Bunkuany, built by the Tayrona Indigenous people. After a meal on site, we will swim in the Piedra River before crossing the Indigenous village of Teyku of the Kogui people. Meeting and exchange with the inhabitants and night in the village in a hammock.

DAY 15 TREKKING BUNKUANY (3/3)
In the morning, a Kogui guide will share the ancestral customs and traditions of his people. We will then hike to the sacred viewpoint of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. We begin our descent toward Tayrona Park to finish the trek around 14:00. Return to the hotel and free time.

DAY 16 SANTA MARTA
You will have the opportunity to discover the Tayrona culture, the people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, known for their impressive architecture and their jewelry and ceramic craftsmanship. After a beautiful walk along Tayrona trails and ruins, we will take a motorboat along the Don Diego River to the sea in search of howler monkeys, kingfishers, herons, pelicans… The river mouth on arrival offers a charming and quiet place, with a beautiful landscape where the sea, river, and mountains meet. On the way back, we will enjoy a local lunch surrounded by a beautiful garden.

DAY 17 SANTA MARTA 🡲 CARTAGENA DE INDIAS
Around 8 a.m., a guide will pick you up to visit Tayrona National Park, where you will discover the fauna, flora, and Tayrona culture (ancestors of the current Indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada). Then free time for swimming on the Caribbean beaches.

In the late afternoon, return to our accommodation to collect luggage, then we head to Cartagena de Indias.

DAY 18 CARTAGENA DE INDIAS
In this city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, we will spend the day visiting the city (Mount Popa viewpoint, San Felipe de Barajas Castle, colonial downtown). Free afternoon.

DAY 19 CARTAGENA DE INDIAS
In the morning, transportation will take you to the pier to travel to Isla Grande (1h). Day of relaxation according to each person’s preference. Return to Cartagena de Indias around 15:00 to your hotel.

DAY 20 CARTAGENA DE INDIAS
Departure toward La Boquilla, a family village of Afro origin. Surrounded by two immense lakes, “Cienaga Juan Polo” and “La Virgen,” fishing is without a doubt the village’s main economy. Different species of fish are caught using the region’s traditional techniques—common bass, tarpon, black snapper, as well as many seafood species. We will go canoeing on the water for 2 to 3 hours, where fishermen will explain their fishing techniques. You will learn how to organize the net, set shrimp and crab traps. At the end of this beautiful morning, a big gathering with the fishermen and their families will be organized—an unforgettable moment of sharing. Free afternoon.

DAY 21 CARTAGENA DE INDIAS 🡲 EUROPE
Today is farewell day, and depending on your flight time we will go to the Cartagena de Indias airport. Check-in of your luggage and international return flight from Cartagena.
